Review of the Pinty 6-24×50 AOE Red & Green Mil-Dot Illuminated Optics Hunting Rifle Scope with Rings

I got this scope the Pinty 6-24×50 AOE Red & Green Mil-Dot Illuminated Optics Hunting Rifle Scope with Rings to put on my Mossberg ATR 100 .270 rifle. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the optic. Heavier that a normal scope, but the price to weight ratio is something I can deal with. The next observation was the illumination of the optics. I really like the green but the red didn’t seem to have the umph I wanted. But in normal light conditions you don’t need the illumination anyway. It’s an added nicety but not needed until dusk. The windage and elevation adjustment knobs are placed accordingly and surprisingly accessible. The scope comes with the scope itself, lens caps, a lens cleaning cloth, scope mounts (high profile), Allen wrench for adjusting scope mounts, and a scope battery. I have to say for the price a really good scope. I haven’t shot with it yet but when I do I will let you know how it holds true. Overall I give the scope a 4 out of 5 stars for the weight and less than lack luster red illumination.
